An accessory that could make a villain of everyone, the eye-patch just MUST be one of the most recognisable stylistic elements in popular culture as a whole: Often used to add a certain degree of psychological depth to characters in theatre and cinema, let us also not forget the (actual) visually impaired personages that sailed through history. And most importantly, let’s not forget the great badasses that lost one of their eyes while A) Duelling, B) Plotting or C) Probably falling from running horses somewhere elegant like Jutland.
